Carers Trust and Energy Saving Trust e-learning
Winter is coming – prepare to reduce your fuel bills and keep safe
Winter means higher fuel bills and more worries for many carers. That’s why Carers Trust has teamed up with Energy Saving Trust to produce some online learning for carers to update their knowledge about how to keep those bills down.
It’s easy to sign-up – just click here.
You will be asked to give your email address to create an account. This will enable you to work through the four modules in your own time and at your own pace – stopping and starting again when you want.
There’s no exam and no-one is monitoring how you go through the modules – but the information might just save you some money this winter.
What will I learn?
The e-learning is divided into four modules covering:
1. Insulation, draught-proofing and ventilation of the home.
2. Understanding heating systems and controls, and the risks of carbon monoxide.
3. Energy-efficient appliances and energy-saving behaviours.
4. Grants and schemes for insulation and heating improvements, and understanding the Priority Services Register (PSR).
How long will it take?
The whole course shouldn’t take more than about 25 minutes. At the beginning of each module, you will be given an indication of how long it will take.
When you want to log back in the web address is: https://energysavingtrust.reach360.com/ - it might be a good idea to bookmark this address (or save it as a favourite).
What does signing-up mean?
Signing up means creating an account on the Energy Saving Trust knowledge hub that allows you to saver your work and log back in.
Energy Saving Trust needs to have your name and email address and you will be asked to create a password.
What other information will I be asked for?
Carers Trust would like to know a little bit about you – so that we can assess who is accessing this information. We will ask a little bit about your caring responsibilities and you.
Energy Saving Trust will report this information to Carers Trust anonymously.
Data Protection
Energy Saving Trust will only keep your information for as long as is necessary for you to access the modules. They will not share your name or email address with Carers Trust, your local carer organisation, or any other organisation.
