Lanarkshire Carers Carer Card provides access to a wide range of offers and discounts from a variety of local retailers, suppliers and services. Carers who are members of Lanarkshire Carers can apply for a Carer Card free of charge.

Digital Carer Card now available

We now offer a convenient, easy to use Digital Carer Card that can be downloaded to your android or apple smartphone.  This enables you to carry your card with you electronically and can be accessed any time via your mobile device wallet. If you use a smartphone regularly, please help us reduce costs by requesting a digital card.

Physical Carer Cards will only be issued to those carers who do not use a smartphone. We are unable to issue both a physical and a digital card.

How to Apply

You can apply online or in person at either of our centres. To apply for a Carer Card, you must:

• Be a member of Lanarkshire Carers
• Be over 18 years of age
• Provide regular unpaid care for a family member or friend
• Reside in North or South Lanarkshire

Please note: It can take up to 30 days for new card applications to be processed. If you have recently applied and have not received your card after 30 days, please get in touch with us.

If you are not a member of Lanarkshire Carers, we cannot issue you with a Carer Card until you become a member and your application will not be processed. To check if you are a member, please contact us on 01698 428090 or 01236 755550. Carer Cards are valid for 12 months. If your card has expired, it will no longer be valid and will need to be renewed.

Information on the offers and discounts available to carers can be found in the link below. In addition to these offers and discounts, all carers requesting a Carer Card for the first time can access:

• up to 12 weeks free membership and 3 months subsidised membership at £10 per month to local leisure facilities for North Lanarkshire residents through North Lanarkshire Active Health Scheme.
• 4 weeks free membership to local leisure facilities for South Lanarkshire residents through South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture.
