Our Carer Card is included in the criteria for the NL Active Health Scheme allowing carers to access NL Passport to Leisure.

GUIDANCE NOTES

• Those being referred by Lanarkshire Carers' staff to the general Active Health programme will receive 12 weeks free membership of North Lanarkshire Councils (NLC) Sports Facilities and this includes swimming, gym (Induction and programme card), and fitness classes. NL Leisure are also offering participants the opportunity of an additional 3 months at £10 per month.
• Those being referred to one of the Specialist Health Classes will receive 20 sessions free of charge at one of the nominated classes and will also have the option of the £10 rate for 3 months.
• To qualify for the £10 rate - participants will be asked to sign on to Direct Debit payments. However, there is no obligation for them to take the additional 3 months - they will still get 12 weeks or 20 sessions free use.

Conditions and Exclusions

Individuals with existing debt with NLC cannot be signed up. Individuals are only able to access the service on one occasion.

Any carer over the age of 18 providing unpaid care, who lives in Lanarkshire and is known to us can request a card.
