Calling all North Lanarkshire carers!

Caring for a loved one is a rewarding but often demanding role. Finding the right tools can make a world of difference, helping your loved one stay independent while giving you peace of mind may come from the use of technology that you are not aware exists.

Join us for a relaxed, friendly session designed specifically for unpaid carers learn about what is available, explore and try out equipment that may be beneficial to both yourself and your cared for person.

You will learn about a wide range of assistive technology and smart gadgets that may support you in your everyday caring role. The session will be facilitated by experts who will guide you through the benefits of everything available and provide confidence and reassurance on how to use them.

Please note that there is a similar session available to South Lanarkshire based carers on 29 October.

At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.

We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
