Delivered by the Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership, this interactive cooking demonstration will introduce simple, realistic ways to shop smarter, cook efficiently, and make the most of affordable ingredients. You’ll learn how small changes can help you save money, cut down on food waste, and make more sustainable choices in your everyday life.
The session is relaxed, informative, and hands-on, offering plenty of opportunities to ask questions and pick up helpful tips you can use at home.
During the session, participants will:
·Learn how to plan and prepare healthy meals using low-cost ingredients
·Discover practical tips for reducing food waste and making food go further
·Explore ways to shop more sustainably while staying within budget
·Gain confidence in cooking simple, nutritious meals from scratch
·Understand how everyday food choices can support both personal wellbeing and the environment
You’ll also have the chance to taste the recipes demonstrated during the session, giving you ideas and inspiration to recreate them at home. To support you further, each participant will receive a food pack with ingredients to try out the recipes themselves.

Notes
At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.
We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
