Engage & Interactive Session - Young Adult Carers (18-25 year olds) (Coatbridge)
In Person Course
Come along to our relaxed and interactive session specifically for Young Adult Carers aged 18–25. This is a chance to take some time for yourself, meet others your age who understand what it’s like to be a carer, and find out what support is available to you.
Whether you’re new to Lanarkshire Carers or just want to learn more about what we offer, this session will give you a clear introduction to how we can support you in your caring role, and in your own personal goals too.
Our friendly Carer Support Workers will be there to chat, answer questions, and help you figure out what support might work best for you. There’s no pressure, just a safe, informal space where you can talk openly and get useful advice.
During the session, you will:
Learn about the support, opportunities, and services available to you
Get advice on managing the challenges of being a young adult carer
Have the chance to ask questions and get one-to-one support
Take part in interactive activities and discussions
Meet other young adult carers and build connections
This session is also about helping you feel heard, supported, and more confident in balancing your caring role with other parts of your life like work, education, or social time.
Refreshments will be provided, and the atmosphere will be friendly, relaxed, and welcoming so you can feel comfortable being yourself.
Available Dates / Times:
Monday 17 August 2026, 6pm - 7:30pm
Venue:
Riverbank Community Hub, 1 Paddock Street, Carnbroe, ML5 4PT
Notes
At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.
We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
