This relaxing and restorative session offers an introduction to reflexology, providing carers with the opportunity to experience a soothing and therapeutic practice designed to support overall wellbeing. It is a chance to step away from the demands of your caring role and take some valuable time for yourself.
Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet (and hands) correspond to different areas of the body. By applying light pressure to these points, reflexology aims to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body’s natural balance.
During this session, you will enjoy a complimentary reflexology taster experience in a calm and welcoming environment. Whether you choose to simply observe or have the opportunity to experience basic techniques yourself, the session is designed to be flexible, comfortable, and accessible to all.
During the session, participants will:
Learn about the basic principles and benefits of reflexology
Observe or experience simple reflexology techniques in a supportive setting
Enjoy a moment of relaxation and self-care away from daily responsibilities
Discover how reflexology can help reduce stress and promote a sense of wellbeing
Gain an understanding of how this therapy may support overall balance and relaxation
No prior knowledge or experience is needed. The session is designed to be gentle, inclusive, and adaptable, ensuring everyone feels at ease.
By the end of the session, you will feel more relaxed, refreshed, and informed about reflexology, with a greater appreciation of how small self-care practices can support your wellbeing as a carer.

Notes
At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.
We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
