Moving Forward from Caring

Moving Forward from Caring
In Person Course

This supportive course is designed for former carers who are already known to Lanarkshire Carers and are no longer in a caring role. It offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and explore the next chapter of your life.

The end of a caring role can bring a wide range of emotions and significant life changes. While caring can be rewarding, it can also have a lasting impact on your wellbeing, identity, confidence, and daily routine. This course provides a safe, understanding, and compassionate space to help you navigate this transition.

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences as a carer and consider how this important role has shaped you. Through guided discussions, practical activities, and peer support, we will help you rediscover your sense of identity beyond caring.

You will also be encouraged to recognise the valuable strengths, skills, and qualities you developed during your caring journey. By building on these attributes, you can increase your confidence and feel empowered to move forward towards new opportunities, whether that means employment, education, volunteering, community involvement, or personal growth.

This course offers a welcoming environment where you can connect with others who have shared similar experiences, build resilience, support your wellbeing, and develop practical tools for the future.

Lunch will be provided.

If you are interested in attending, please contact us to have a conversation and book a place.
