Come along for a morning of crafting and create something for yourself to take away.
This hands-on resin workshop is designed for carers and works with both epoxy and UV resin. You will learn new techniques under the supervision of our experienced facilitator who will guide you through the process required to make your own bookmarks, jewellery, coasters etc.
The physical act of making things quietens the mind and helps lower stress hormones like cortisol. Releasing dopamine can helps create a calmer and quieter mind space for you to focus on yourself. Working with your hands gives you a clear goal, a break from daily worries, and a proud sense of accomplishment when you finish.
You will have a chance to chat and get to know other carers within your community. Just bring your imagination! All equipment will be provided, no experience necessary.

At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.
We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
