Walking Football

Walking Football
In Person Course

Come along and try a friendly taster session of Walking Football - an inclusive, non-contact activity where running is not permitted, making it suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. This relaxed and supportive session is designed especially for carers who are looking to improve their wellbeing, stay active, and enjoy some time for themselves.

Walking football offers all the enjoyment of the traditional game but at a slower pace, focusing on fun, teamwork, and participation rather than competition. Whether you’re completely new to football or returning after some time away, this session provides a welcoming environment to get involved and give it a go.

During the session, participants will:

  • Take part in a gentle introduction to walking football in a safe, supportive setting
  • Improve physical health, mobility, and coordination through light activity
  •  Boost mental wellbeing by reducing stress and increasing confidence
  • Meet and connect with fellow carers in a sociable, encouraging group
  • Enjoy a fun, relaxed experience with no pressure or expectations

No prior experience is needed. Just come along, wear comfortable clothing, and enjoy being part of the group. This is a great opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and take a positive step towards improving your overall wellbeing.
