Menopause symptoms such as brain fog, lack of sleep, fatigue, anxiety and hot flushes can increase the stresses of caring.
Caring can become more challenging during a time when the body is experiencing shifts and changes, therefore it is essential to take some time to recognise and focus on us to manage the demands of caring and sustain the caring role.
Whilst menopause is experienced differently, it is common that feelings such as confusion, irritability, depression and fatigue are intensified when the challenges of caring for a loved one collide with the physical and mental consequences of fluctuating hormones.
It is essential to find time to focus on yourself where possible, and this workshop is designed to help focus on self-care, release stress and create energetic balance to support the changing female body. Carers of all ages are invited to join Marion from MyTrue Therapies in a 2-hr Wellbeing Workshop that will also support stress management using Gentle Qi Gong movement to support lymphatic drainage (standing or seated).
Marion will also guide you through the Acupressure tapping points for hormone balance, brain fog, hot flushes, cramps, insomnia, breast health and mental issues. Marion will also incorporate stress busting and breathing techniques to release physical tension improve posture followed by a guided meditation.
Please wear comfortable clothing for a relaxed experience where you will meet other carers in similar circumstances. Note* All movement sequences can be adapted from standing to sitting.

Notes
At Lanarkshire Carers, we try our very best to ensure that carers get access to as much information and training opportunities as possible to help them in their caring role. We provide free of charge training courses to ensure that no carer will ever be unable to attend due to financial reasons. However, there is a cost to us and for some courses, it can be considerable.
We understand that as carers, something can arise which would prevent you from attending a pre-registered course. If you are unable to attend please contact us as soon as possible. Many of these courses have a waiting list and unless we know, we are unable to offer your place to someone else.
