“My name's Allison, and I've been a volunteer with Lanarkshire Carers for over six years. I love my volunteering role, meeting new people and helping. Also feeling part of local society.

Carers are always very thankful for my calls which I do either weekly or fortnightly.

If anyone were to ask me about volunteering, I would say definitely.

Lanarkshire Carers take time to make a special effort for the volunteers. For example they put on lunches in nice local restaurants and pampering sessions, just for a couple of examples.

The staff are beyond friendly and welcoming, I am always made to feel like part of the team, nothing less."
